Green nail syndrome Diseases

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic, gram negative pathogen that responsible for severe nosocomial infections. It also causes infections with unusual presentations such as Green nail syndrome - green discoloration of the nail plate. Sometimes, this condition may be associated with proximal chronic paronychia and disto-lateral onycholysis  most often in persons whose hands are constantly exposed to water, soaps and detergents.
